Im a novice sewing machine-user but found the SInger instruction manual easy to understand and was soon trying out the wide range of stiches available on the 2263 model. I practised on fabric offcuts to get the feel of the machine but was soon doing alterations on some trousers and feeling confident that I could carry out most simple sewing tasks on my new machine. The 2263 is remarkably light-weight and does an imprssive range of things for a relatively low-priced machine.

I bought my Singer 2263 some time ago and Im pretty happy with it. It gets a lot of use, about three days a week. Ive only had two problems with it. One of the the two top bobbins (the spool holders on top of the machine) has broken off, so I have to use the front one, which isnt that big a deal but its kind of annoying if I ever wanted to use a double needle. My other complaint is that it seems like the thread breaks a lot when Im sewing, and I have to rethread the machine several times during sewing. Ive not had this problem before so I dont think its me. All in all though, for the price it is an excellent machine and I would recommend it to anyone, especially young fashion students looking for a bargain.

I am delighted with my new 7463. I am a huge Singer fan - having had a Singer machine for over 40 years. I am particulary pleased with the ease of set up and ofcourse the automatic needle threader - very useful to older stitchers! I was most impressed with the prompt efficient service.

This is an excellent machine for beginners and experienced sewers alike. It is so simple to set up and use. The first day I had the machine, I had reduced three bedspreads in size - one of which is quilted. It coped the thickness with no problem. I also did some alterations to Lycra sportwear using the built-in stretch stitches. I would recommend it for being lightweight, versatile and a very reasonable price.

i have a 1540 which you dont show on screen. I like it very well only wish I had got an embordery machine instead. Mine does look somewhat like the this select 4.0.

I am extremely pleased with the high level of professional service offered by you. Excellent speedy delivery ... what can I say about the machine itself?! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! Its been more than a few years since I last tried one but with the Singer 7463 it was like hopping on a bike again ... one never really forgets and this Singer model is superb, very easy to use and I have to say it is a TOP OF THE RANGE model indeed !!! Everything this machine does is easy. 1 step buttonhole is EASY! selection of stitches EASY, my six year old can operate this machine! I am not a quilter but use this machine every week.
