Jaguar

The Japanese born Maruzen Sewing Machine Co was established in 1949 initially as distributor of sewing machine parts. In 1952 Maruzen began to launch their domestic zig-zag sewing machine and haven't looked back since. From 1965 - 1977 Maruzen expanded opening main supply factories in both the USA and Germany. In 1978 total exports reached 7 million and in 1980 Maruzen won the Good design award for their compact sewing machine range with reaching over 1 million sale the year after. In 1989 the Jaguar compact range was growing fast so Maruzen branched out and the Jaguar company was born. The compact Jaguar range is like no other with production now taking place in Vietnam and continued developments such as the DQS (Digital Quick-threading System) machine with a newly-developed quick and easy threading system introduced.
